Boys Hangout

The boys are so cute with their obsession with cars. Coop doesn't like when Jono starts up the ute but he loves hanging out in it. They are the best of mates. Im so lucky to have such a awesome family.

This boys hangout page was made using Grease Monkey Papers Bo Bunny papers. I used some Bazzil bling. Heidi Swapp letters. This page is put together using a sketch from the the April Anna's Craft Cupboard competition. I'm not great with sketches and even with this one Im not too sure. But it made me use some of my large amounts of Bo Bunny papers so Im happy :) I got some great kits from Anna's Craft Cupboard so I can't wait to use those papers really soon!! http://www.annascraftcupboard.com.au/gallery3/index.php

Another girly 1

Ive been trying to get into girly pages because I keep buying girly kits!! I love them but I have a little boy and are running out of photos of me when I was younger so I am now scrapping more of my friend's children. This one is of a special birthday girl that I have known since she was a few weeks old. I used the 'A little birdy' kit from Wicked Princess. http://www.wickedprincesses.com.au/wickedstore/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=156&zenid=aea9036d88f6ac29287b89c171aa9e85 The papers are from 'My Little Shoebox' and the cute fabric flowers are from 'My Vintage Blossoms.' I bought 4 kits off her a few weeks ago and I have been spreading the word ever since. The kits are really well put together and full of the best bits and pieces.

123 Challenge

I have to say I am VERY excited to have started doing challenges this month. So many great combinations. The 123 April Challenge is 'Lime Green, Fabric and the word Really. For the fabric part I added some starts. They have been cut out of a little bonds outfit that Coop used to wear as a baby. Can't believe he had grown up so fast and Im so glad I kept it as now I have it on paper to always remember. Green always looked so great on him and I think this black and white photo of him goes great with all the green! I used bling bazzil, bazzil cardstock, kaiser letters, ribbon and a chipboard letter 'R'. To check out the 123 Challenge go to http://ourbrightstarsandus.typepad.com/123challenge/2011/04/fir.html

A Crafter's Passion

Last night I had a goal. FINISH A PAGE!! I have about 6 pages around home that are 'almost' finished but then I get distracted, start a new one and forget about the little touches that the other pages need. Last night was different. I was determined to start and finish a page, and I did. I love the finish product. I don't have a daughter so when I saw this paper I thought I'd pull out a page of me as a child. I love the colours of this paper but even more so I LOVE the owls. I think they are the cutest and I'm so excited that I have left over paper from this kit to use on another page or 2. This kit only cost $10 (BARGIN) and as I said I have alot of papers left over. The only thing I added to this page is some Kaisercraft letters and ink. A Crafter's Passion is in Rockhampton QLD and here is the link to their blog http://www.acrafterspassion.blogspot.com/ they also have a facebook page http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2067291&id=1378913613&saved#!/ACraftersPassion
My favourite parts of the page have to be the rolled ribbon for the middle of the flower and the bling on the love heart.

Imaginisce Goodies!!

Oh my, the goodies from Wicked Princess are keeping me very busy! I bought the 'Splish Splash' kit and I love it. I have already made 2 pages from it and there's enough to make atleast 4 pages from the kit. The paper is called 'Splash Dance' from Imaginisce. All I have added to these pages are Kaisercraft letter and some ink. The 1st one - 'Look at his smile' has to be one of my favourite pages ever!! Alot of people say that Jono doesn't smile but when he is around his family he does. I think he just doesn't want to waste his smiles on people who wouldn't appreciate it. lol.

Next one is Beanie Boy. I remember growing up hats and beanies were my thing and now Coop has gotten into them aswell. No matter which ones we put on him he always looks good. I love that he isn't looking in this photo. I think I scrap way too many posed photos but Im starting to love the natural ones.

Girly Friday

I have been very busy today with my Wicked Princess Kits. http://www.wickedprincesses.com.au/wickedstore/ Wow was all I could manage to say when I opened the package. The kids were awesome and I had got them on special so that's even more exciting!! Oh now I wish Id taken a photo of them but I was way too excited to think to do it. Ill have to wait until tommorow though to upload my 1st page :( But hopefully the sun will be out and I can get a good photo of it!
Until then I have some girly pics to show you... This one if of a page I did using some bo bunny papers. This is over a year old and it helped me get back into doing girly pages. Now to borrow some of my friend's little girls as Cooper isnt a girly looking boy. lol

White with 1

My 2nd competitione ever and my 1st for 'White with 1' http://whitewith1.blogspot.com/
This month the challenge is white with olive and twine. At 1st I thought I might sit this one out as Olive isn't a colour I have in my stash as I don't overly like the colour but after a trip to my local shop (Scrapbooking 24/7) I realised that this could work out really nice. This photo is one of few that I have with Cooper. As he has gotten older, a photo with mummy is just not going to happen no matter what. So I thought Id be sneaky and take a photo with him while he was asleep. This is definately going to be one of my favourite pages.
In it I used some olive cardstock, Kaiser patterned paper, Kaiser letters, Kaiser flowers and some Vera ink. Also a knitted doiley that I got from Vinnies. In the end the hardest part about this challenge was finding the twine. Even then I could only get this olive colour but it worked out perfectly :) I can't wait to see what colour they want us to scrap next month :) Ive left it at a bad time to take the photo of the page and the wind here is crazy so it is a little more dull here then in real life. I was just way too impatient to wait until tommorow. So proud of it :)

Fancy Pants

This is one of my newest pages and I love it! Sometimes pages just come together within minutes and usually (for me anyway) they can take days, even weeks so when making this one I loved every second of it. The photo is so beautiful that I didn't really have to do much else. The look on his face is priceless and although you can see a smudge from where some whater got on the camera, I wasn't going to have that stop me scrapping it. I used some paint (paint is one of my new favourtite things this year), Kaisercraft letters, Adornit mini letters, some buttons from my stash, versa ink and some ribbon. With the letters I had run out of the ... and .... so I thought Id use some ink and use the chipboard sheet as a templete. Im loving how it turned out so I think I will definately be doing it again. Oh and the paper, who can forget the paper. It is the beautiful  Rusted Sun by Fancy pants. I have alot of it still to use which is good because I really love it.

My love for wool letters!!

Oops forgot my Tuesday Tip. This is definately one that I want to use asap as it looks GREAT!! I saw this one in Scrapbook Creations. Instead or inking or painting some letter what they have done is wrap it with wool! WOW it definately adds to the page and with so many colours of wool on the market it will be as easy as finding the right colour ink :) I am planning to use it on a page this week so I will upload that asap.

Vintage Attempt

Vintage is definately NOT my thing but over the last year I have done 2 vintage pages (1 probably isnt vintage but with the doileys Im going to try and claim it as vintage ;) This one is of my grandad and grandma who have both passed away. Its using some Kaisercraft papers, lettering, pearl strips and pearl brads. Also I have used their script stamp for the background and some lace I found in my stash. This class was also one that I made up for a class at Scrapbooking 24-7 in Yeppoon.
